Can I cancel before shipping?

Can I cancel before shipping — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.

Updated 31 July 2026

Overview

You can cancel yourself before your payment goes through. Once payment is received, the order is with the store — you can no longer cancel it directly, but the store may still reject it, or it will auto-cancel after 72 hours if the store doesn't accept.

When you can cancel yourself

You can cancel an order while it's still in "Pending Payment" — that is, before your payment has been confirmed.

  1. Open the Javern App or Javern and sign in.
  2. Go to your profile and tap "My Orders".
  3. Open the order and tap "Cancel Order".
  4. Pick a reason and confirm.

Because no money has moved yet, there's nothing to refund.

After payment is received

Once your payment lands, the order moves into "Awaiting Vendors Approval". At this point you can't cancel it yourself, but one of these will happen:

  • The store rejects the order — you get a full refund credited to your Javern Wallet instantly.
  • The store doesn't respond in 72 hours — the order is automatically cancelled and refunded in full to your Javern Wallet.
  • The store accepts — the order moves forward and can no longer be cancelled.

If you'd like to try to cancel a paid order that a store has already accepted, contact our support team with your order ID and we'll try to reach the store on your behalf.
